I've been meaning to tell you about these books for a while now, but only just had the chance to sit down and pen my thoughts. If you know me well, you'll know that the only thing I ask for Christmas is books, books and more books! So, if you have somebody in your life who shares this with me, one (or all) of these books might be just the gift for them...

Ferment by Holly Davis / Ferment for Good by Sharon Flynn

If you're interested in fermentation, there's an American writer named Sandor Katz who seems to be the world guru on current day fermentation, however we have two Australian books, both of them so full of information relating so clearly to our region and culture that come highly recommended by me - Ferment by Holly Davis & Ferment for Good by Sharon Flynn. Such readable, accessible books.

Tivoli Road Baker by Michael James

After eating their bread at a charity dinner I did a number of months ago at Ben Shewry's Restaurant, Attica, a visit to Tivoli Road Bakery was an absolute must when I next visited Melbourne. And now, with the help of this book, Tivoli Road Baker, I can make the bread myself!

Australian Food, Coast + Country by Matt Moran

How could I leave out Matt's new book! Such a great mix of his country and city life. The perfect gift for that foodie in your life this Christmas!
