Having food friends all over the world is one of the exciting parts of my life.

Nigella Lawson was in town to speak at the Festival Theatre and thanks to my great friend Dee Nolan we were guests to hear her having an ‘intimate’ conversation with Gary Meghian in that wonderfully sexy voice of hers in front of 1700 people.

Prior to this evening we lunched at Shobosho sharing so many tastes that fit so well with my love of Japanese food and I won so many brownie points from my sister in law Jenny as I arrived at lunch with a small tray of Jenn’s jelly cakes and Nigella ate one with gusto and took the others back to the Festival Theatre to share around at interval.
